Kfir Melamed started his music education in sound engineering, and studied Jazz music at the Rimone School of Music. Kfir’s musical background is versatile, encompassing classical, jazz, pop, R&B, rock, metal, fusion, alternative, and Middle Eastern music. His career advanced while he collaborated with world-renowned musicians including Middle Eastern singer Mike Karuchi, the former singer for King of Morocco, and the Israeli Andalusian Orchestra. He also toured around the world with the band Sky High, which worked with artists such as Bonnie M, Lionel Richie, and opened concerts for Elton John, Steven Seagal, and Leonid Ptashka.
Kfir later moved to Los Angeles to expand his music career, and has played with various bands and artists, including Frank Sinatra Jr., Rouge, An Endless Sporadic, a band whose songs are featured on Guitar Hero, etc. He has toured throughout the U.S. and Canada for 1.5 years with the Red Elvises, and throughout Europe with the renowned Iranian singer, Moein. He has also been featured on song tracks for cellist, Tina Guo.
Currently, Kfir is the bass guitarist for the band Globus, and plays for Immediate Music company, which has produced music for movie trailers such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Iron Man, Twilight, etc. under the direction of composer Yoav Goren. He also works for the online recording studio, Studio Pros, and continues to play with the singer Moein. In addition, Kfir has founded the band Horizon, where he has composed, produced, and featured in his original album, “When Spirit Meets Earth.”
